SunShop has some requirements that must be met in order to function properly. Check the list below to make sure you meet the minimum web server requirements before attempting the installation. You should also make sure that you are familiar with the concepts listed under “Skills Required for Installation”. If you are unsure how to check the requirements, ask your web host for assistance. If you are not familiar with the skills listed, we recommend that you have us install your cart for you.

Minimum Web Server Requirements:

1. PHP 7.4, PHP 8.1 or PHP 8.2
2. MySQL 5.6 / MariaDB Server 10.2 or Newer

SunShop will run on most major operating systems including Windows, Linux, Unix & MacOSX which meet the minimum requirements.

Skills Required for Installation:

Basic knowledge of FTP and transferring files to your server. You will need an FTP client such as CuteFTP or SmartFTP.

Ability to create a MySQL database within your hosting control panel. This step is partially covered in the installation documentation.

PHP Configuration Recommendations:

Please note that most hosting companies support the below recommendations.

• cURL Extension: Secure Communication
• GD Library: Image Resizing
• OpenSSL: Credit Card Encryption
• PDO MySQL: Database
• MbString: String Functions
